The C. Waldo Scott Center’s Board of Trustees’ Scholarship provides high school graduates of the Newport News Public School System and Scott Center members with the opportunity to apply for a scholarship to assist with their efforts to continue their education. The Board has awarded several scholarships to eligible students, based on their academic performance and goals, and community involvement. The following are the 2018 Scholarship Recipients:

The C. Waldo Scott Center also manages the Lylton L. and Augusta Inettie Banks Edwards Scholarship Endowment. The fund was established to award vocational scholarships to youth and/or adults residing in the Southeast community of Newport News, Virginia. The 2018 Recipients are Darius Wills-Browne and Asia Shell, both are enrolled in the Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School.
